  Goods: Location is very central, walking distance from silk market, a few subway stations from Forbidden City and People’s Square and so forth. The hotel room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is a gym and health center located inside. Last but not least the garden in the middle was just awesome! Bads: The reception desk is a bit slow and you have to wait for a while before getting attended. I had to wait for more than an hour to get my room ready because I arrived at about 12:00am. WiFi connection was poor and it worked fine only in the lobby area. There was strange odor in my room and I had to keep window open for a while.

  Hotel Jianguo is an ideal location for business, based in the Chaoyang district only 25-30 mins from the airport by taxi and close to Yonganli and Guomao metro stations (in fact Yonganli is essentially next door). The staff here are very efficient and friendly and many of the staff speak good English . At one point there was an issue with my safe box and someone came to solve the issue within a couple of minutes. The breakfast is a buffet with plenty of options in both Western and traditional Chinese fare with eggs cooked to order if desired. The rooms are comfortable, very clean and with modern decor. The only downside of the whole hotel is its proximity to the main road outside. While this is an advantage travel-wise some people may find the traffic noise an issue if you are one particular side of the building.

  Recently had my 3rd stay at this hotel for business in Beijing. It's very close to the metro and within walking distance to many restaurants. I think the staff are very helpful and I haven't had problems w/ English. Breakfast buffet is good. Some rooms are dated but the 2nd tower is fully renovated and you can ask for a room over there. The lobby bar has a great happy hour special and is a tranquil place to relax after a hectic day in Beijing!
