  Die Zerstörung eines historischen Platzes....Nun ja....somit idt der Platz in Taipeh vor dem Mausoleum größer....auch wenn hier anderes gesagt wird

  个人感觉这个地方没有必要修，还有 不要买花！不要买花！不要买花！ Do not buy flowers!Do not buy flowers!Do not buy flowers! 毛主席纪念堂是为纪念开国领袖毛泽东而建造的，位于天安门广场， 人民英雄纪念碑南面，坐落在原中华门旧址。1976年11月24日按照中国共产党中央委员会的决议，毛主席纪念堂奠基仪式在天安门广场举行。 毛主席纪念堂于1977年5月24日落成，占地57000多平方米，总建筑面积为28000平方米。主体呈正方形，外有44根福建黄色花岗石建筑的明柱，柱间装有广州石湾花饰陶板，通体青岛花岗石贴面。屋顶有两层玻璃飞檐，檐间镶葵花浮雕。基座有两层平台，台帮全部用四川大渡河旁的枣红色花岗石砌成，四周环以房山汉白玉万年青花饰栏杆。

  For Curiosities only. Impressive structure. Go for a visit. Like all things in China, go early! Early as in 15 to 20 minutes prior to opening Early. Make sure you visit this place carrying the lightest load possible. Otherwise you'll have to check your backpack in somewhere. They will not let you take photos inside and will keep the line moving. Try not to be alarmed if people start weeping when they see Mao. Photos are from the entrance and exit.
