It's a 400 meter walk (5 min) from exit J2 of the Xidan metro station on line 1 or 4. This place is mentioned in my learning of Mandarin using the Pimsleur method. It was a pleasant visit. It's basically a bookstore with a small sitting area at the front of the store. You can order tea for 25 RMB which includes refills of hot water. I asked the shop attendant if this is a famous location since it's name is stuck in my head after many repeated lessons. It's history is that it was established as one of the first open-shelf bookstore to sell books in 1988. It's not visited by tourists and caters to locals. There are no English titled books. From the outside, the English name is written as "Sun Way Books"
