Okay market but the rude attitude of the sales people gets old really fast. Prices way too high. If you are a tourist in China and also visit Shanghai, buy your knock off stuff there. If you absolutely have to buy, pay max 20% of initial offer.
Underwhelming....the selection reminds you of the 99 cent store back home. In the past this place was one of the most famous Market in China for tourists and now its just a sad reminder of what used to be.times are changing and everything you want or need can be bought elsewhere.
While I was visiting here, I couldn't help but notice the friendly and rich atmosphere that this place had to offer. While visiting Beijing, this is a location that will make your time in the capital worthwhile! Come and witness materials made from silk, and meet hospitable, warm-hearted people!
Tough to review. I mean it's a fake market. But it's a little bit fun to go there a just haggle. One big problem is that you won't probably read this because Google service is banned in China. My number one advise is to always walk away if you really want to get the price down. Otherwise be gentle and give them some profit. See it as tips for this performance :)
Worth a visit for any tourist, even if you don't buy anything it's worth the stop! They have everything from Jewelry to clothes to watches, glasses, any fashion item and yes many pearls. You can pay sticker prices but be aware they will go lower, if you are good with haggling you can go much much lower. Really a fun place, just be prepared if they know you are buying they will be pushy.
